Design Highlights

  • All questions are original and hand-written by curriculum specialists. (They are not algorithm-generated or “crowd-sourced”.) In addition, they are carefully aligned, edited and reviewed by EducAide Software, which has years of experience developing questions for the TEKS.
  • The questions are aligned exactly to the TSIA 2.0 standards so you can be confident that your students will be well prepared. In addition, the Practice set of questions are divided further into sub-standards to better target individual students needs.
  • The questions are paired for review, quizzes make-up tests, etc. Each question and its pair are close in difficulty and style and can be assigned to different students and graded the same way. This provides a nice balance between repetition and variety and while also helping with test security.
Note: Problem-Attic has an option called “parallel forms” that takes advantage of the paired questions. You can very quickly create pre- and post-tests, makeup tests, forms A and B, etc. More details are here.

Notes

This bank of questions was developed as supplementary materials for the TSIA 2.0 (Texas Success Initiative Assessment). The database is organized by Diagnostic and Practice questions, the first containing a representative set of questions for the Diagnostic Test and its standards. The second contains a larger set of questions meant for extra practice for the Diagnostic test; the difficult range is broader including representative questions as well as some easier and some harder. The standards in the Practice organization are also further classified further into narrower substandards. Every question in both the Diagnostic and Practice sets have a matching pair.
